Sustainability is embedded in how we work, driven by our customer-led vision and shaped by insights from our customers, team and other stakeholders.

We do this The Reece Way: taking a practical and commercial approach, concentrating our efforts where we can have the most impact, and always looking to improve.

Our approach

Our sustainability strategy has three focus areas.

Our first pillar, Building a Better World for our customers, is where Reece can lead and have the biggest impact.

Our Be our Best and Do the Right Thing pillars are our foundations; areas of ongoing responsibility and continuous improvement. Together, they shape how we run our business and contribute to a better society.

Building a better world

Building a better world is about knowing what areas we can stand for and showing up every day to make things better.

The movement of clean water is at the heart of what Reece, and our customers, do every day. Alongside that, we’re committed to shaping the future of the trade industry and helping our customers navigate the shift to a more sustainable future. These are the areas where we believe Reece can have the greatest positive impact.

Clean water & sanitation

We believe water is fundamental to quality of life, and that trades play an essential role in providing access to it. That’s why Reece is the founding partner and ongoing supporter of the Reece Foundation — an independent charity that connects trade skills with communities in need of clean water and sanitation in Australia and around the world. Supporting the trade industry

We’re committed to supporting the future of the trade industry — through community engagement, industry partnerships, events and training opportunities. We partner with organisations like MATES in Construction, WorldSkills Australia, Empowered Women in Trade (EWIT) and Women of Trade and Industry to provide career pathways, mental health support and a more inclusive industry for everyone.

Sustainable products & solutions

We focus on delivering expert advice and durable, efficient, high-performing products and solutions that meet the demands of today and tomorrow.From phasing out low water-efficiency products and progressing our WELS star rating standards, to supporting customers with energy-efficient heat pump technology and refrigerant transitions — we’re focused on making it easier for the trade to make better choices.

At the heart of our safety commitment is a simple belief: every team member deserves to return home safely every day. We're committed to supporting our people’s broader wellbeing and investing in developing the leaders of tomorrow through bespoke, personalised programs across ANZ and the US. Our focus has always been on growing our leaders from within.

We’ve always been focused on doing the right thing — it’s one of our core values. We know we have a responsibility to keep improving, build a better business and contribute to a better society.

That means creating a more inclusive workforce where everyone feels they belong, maintaining an ethical and transparent supply chain, reducing the waste our business generates, and taking practical steps to reduce our carbon footprint.

Our goal is to achieve Net Zero by 2050, and we’re targeting a 35% reduction in Scope 2 emissions from our FY21 baseline by 2030.
