Resilient Communities

“Through our partnership with MATES we hope to create a positive culture around mental health, so our teams and customers feel confident to seek support when they need it.” Scott Cashman Reece New Zealand Region Leader

Community partners

We want our teams and customers to feel cared for, mentally and physically. We demonstrate this through our everyday interactions with one another but extend our reach and impact through our community partnerships.

We asked our teams and customers what causes matter most to them, and where Reece Cares can have the biggest impact. This informed our four focus areas:

Enabling access to clean water and sanitation.

Supporting the mental wellbeing of our teams and customers.

Supporting young people to be their best to create a resilient future workforce.

Enabling our reconciliation vision.

Our Community Partners

We connect to improve the mental wellbeing of our industry

The mental wellbeing of our teams and customers is important to us and that’s why we have partnered with Mates in Construction. Our branches are like a community hub for our customers, we get to know them well, and we want to support them. Our partnership with MATES will empower teams and customers across our branch network, in both Australia and New Zealand, to check in on each other and connect them to mental health support.

Disaster relief

From a pandemic, to floods, to fires, our customers and teams across Australia, New Zealand and the US have been impacted by disaster over the years.

We care about the communities we operate in and support our people and customers with product to restore access to clean water and sanitation.

Our network and customer relationships are at the heart of our disaster relief approach. We empower our branches to work with customers to identify where the need is greatest, and then, working in partnership with communities, we leverage our network to deliver products where they can make a difference.

Conversations to create change
To truly make a difference and improve the mental health of the trade, we must all work together to normalise mental health conversations across the industry. In New Zealand, Reece is working towards all of our branches achieving MATES accreditation so we are better equipped to connect customers to the resources available to them if they need support with their mental health.
