Long-term growth focus brings leadership changes

We’re announcing some exciting leadership changes to accelerate our long-term growth strategy.

We’re announcing some exciting leadership changes to accelerate our long-term growth strategy. A lean global team is being established to provide oversight and strategic support to the two regions – Australia and New Zealand, and the US.

Led by Peter Wilson as Group CEO and Managing Director, the Reece Group Leadership Team will also consist of a Group CFO, CEO US, and CEO ANZ.

“We have a clear strategy and blueprint for the future. These leadership changes reflect our commitment to building on the foundations we have laid in the United States. It ensures we have a dedicated focus, and leadership structure, as we continue to build a digital ecosystem to support the customer experience across Australia and New Zealand”, Peter Wilson remarked when talking about the changes.

From 1 July 2020, Gavin Street, Group CFO will move into the newly established role of CEO – Australia and New Zealand.

Gavin Street joined Reece in 2008 as CFO, following senior roles at Westpac and GE Finance. Gavin also led our digital transformation as Chief Technology Officer between 2016 and 2018.

Peter Wilson said: “As CEO of Australia and New Zealand, Gavin’s passion for Reece will be critical to delivering industry leading digital customer experiences. He is a strategic thinker, has a deep understanding of our ANZ operations and the people that drive our success. In partnership with Sasha Nikolic, CEO of the US, they will enable Reece’s long-term success, which has never been more important, in these challenging times.”

Andrew Cowlishaw has been appointed as Group CFO, from 1 July, Andrew joins us from EY, where he led the Mergers and Acquisitions team in Melbourne for almost nine years. Andrew played a key role when Reece purchased Actrol in 2014, and was critical our US expansion, via the acquisition of MORSCO, in 2018.

Peter Wilson said: “Andrew has been an important advisor to the business, working alongside us since 2012. Over this time, he has played a key role in our strategic acquisitions and got to know our business and our people. He’ll be a great cultural fit for Reece, and, as Group CFO, he will be responsible for working with the Global team to deliver on our strategy.”

As part of these changes, Chantelle Duffy will become Company Secretary, Reece Group from 1 July 2020, taking over from Gavin. Chantelle joined Reece in 2019 as the Group Financial Reporting Lead.
