ReFire joins the Reece Fire business
ReFire x Reece

On 1 July 2024, ReFire joined the Reece Group (Reece) business. ReFire will continue to operate as a standalone business within Reece Fire, the fire business unit of the Reece Group.

Reece has supported fire industry customers for over 20 years through its extensive civil and plumbing branch network. Three years ago, Reece opened its first dedicated Reece Fire branch in Victoria to better serve the specialist needs of the industry. Since then, Reece Fire has opened six branches across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.

Will Rossiter, Operations Leader for Reece Fire said, “This is an exciting new chapter for our collective businesses, allowing Reece Fire to enhance our presence in the Australian fire protection industry by offering expanded expertise and new services, like fabrication, to our customers. By joining the Reece family, ReFire will have the opportunity to scale and grow through the Reece network. In turn, we are excited to have the opportunity to learn more from the ReFire team who are experts in the fire protection industry.”

The collective footprint of both businesses will enable Reece Fire to roll out more products, services and expertise nationally. A combined network of 12 dedicated fire branches, spanning New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia, will be supported by Reece’s national distribution centres and expansive branch network across the country, giving more customers access to online ordering, delivery and easy tracking.

Like Reece Fire, ReFire is all about customised customer service. Over the course of four decades, ReFire has grown into one of Australia’s leading distributors of fire protection products and is an expert in fabrication services.

Jeannine Smith, Managing Director of ReFire said, “ReFire is a family business – and it has been my family’s business for 40 years. It has taken us a lot of careful consideration to figure out the right next step. I’m pleased to share that our family business will be joining forces with another family-led business – the Reece Group. We are 100% confident this is the right decision for our people, customers and for the future growth of ReFire. It is the right time for the business to grow and scale to its full potential – something I’m confident will happen with the support of Reece and with our people at the helm. Reece has a solid reputation of growing businesses in a way that respects their origins and I’m looking forward to staying on to support the integration process.”

For now, it’s business as usual for both ReFire and Reece Fire operations and customers.

Rossiter concluded, “Quality, service and expertise are the shared foundations of both ReFire and Reece. With shared values and commitment to building a better world for our customers, our businesses will be stronger together.”
