Reece has formally launched its third Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) on Larrakia Country at the Reece Berrimah Plumbing branch in Darwin, marking an important step in our ongoing reconciliation journey.

The launch brought together First Nations community members, customers, suppliers and Reece team members, beginning with a Smoking Ceremony by Trent Lee, followed by a beautiful Welcome to Country from Mary Williams, a Larrakia, Tiwi and Iwaidja woman.

Adrian Palumbo, Reece ANZ CEO highlighted the importance of taking a long‑term, action‑focused approach to reconciliation.

“Reconciliation is about listening, learning and showing up consistently,” he said. “This RAP helps guide how we turn that commitment into action, through genuine partnerships and by creating opportunities where we can make a positive contribution over time.”

Developed in collaboration with Reece’s First Nations Advisory Group and Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, the new RAP focuses on areas where Reece can play a meaningful role including employment pathways, cultural learning and clean water and sanitation projects through the Reece Foundation.

Dominic Nicholls, Mimal Land Management CEO shared his reflections on the Reece Foundation project completed in 2024 at the Mimal Ranger Base and the lasting positive impact this has had for the base and local community.

This project was a foundational learning which we’ve taken into the development of this new RAP commitment which focuses on areas where Reece can play a meaningful role, including employment pathways, cultural learning and clean water and sanitation projects through the Reece Foundation.

To close out the event the Kenbi Dance Group shared a wonderful cultural dance.
