When not caught early, issues with refrigeration condensing units can be costly, time consuming and have flow-on effects to the community.

To help our customers get in front of issues before they happen, Actrol teamed up with Carel to develop SensR- a new cloud-based alert and monitoring system for refrigeration condensing units. 

The Wi-Fi-enabled monitoring system has been designed with predictive technology to alert refrigeration technicians to key issues in condensing units before they potentially cause major problems.

Available pre-fitted to a range of Tecumseh condensing units, SensR uses temperature sensors to monitor the unit’s ambient, discharge, suction and liquid temperatures for any unusual activity. This allows SensR to report on issues such as potential compressor failure, ice-up, refrigerant loss and dirty condensers. 

With the SensR mobile app, customers can monitor all connected units in one convenient location – their smart phone. Push notifications highlighting the issue, location and priority, are sent to the customer whenever unusual activity occurs. 

Customers can also unlock a deeper level of analysis with the SensR Web Portal, where they can access real-time data and monitor unit performance over a 12-month period.
