Last year, in partnership with Resilient Lismore, the Reece Foundation and 13 volunteer tradies went to Lismore to help restore essential plumbing to over 70 flood-affected homes.

On the back of this work, the NSW Government committed $5m to further support this important program that will see more flood survivors move back into their homes and live with the decency they deserve. 

Recently, the next phase of work kicked off with the support of four fantastic Reece trade customers, Justin Cooper and his apprentice Tyler Searle, Drew Murfitt and Zac Baker. In the two weeks they were on the ground, the team performed works on 20 homes. 

Reflecting on the experience, Zac said, “It was a big couple of weeks working through so many homes, but being able to see and feel the positive impact we were having motivated us to make sure nothing was left undone by the time we finished. People were so grateful, and to think that my plumbing skills helped to make a difference is what I really loved.”

The project will see additional groups of tradies head to Lismore throughout the year, we’re looking forward to sharing more updates along the way.
