Working with tradies for a better world.

In 2022, Reece established the Reece Foundation with the belief that water is fundamental for quality of life, and that trades play a uniquely essential role in providing access to this precious resource.

By connecting the skills and expertise of the trade to communities most in need, we're able to deliver practical water and sanitation solutions both in Australia and overseas, having impacted more than 150,000 lives so far. Visit the Reece Foundation website

Project Maa, Indonesia

A 65,000-litre water tank at a remote island school — giving 3,000 people clean water without ever needing to leave the island.

Seven Reece Foundation trade volunteers supported the Project Hiu team over a three-week period to construct a rainwater catchment, treatment and filtration system at the local school on Maringkik Island in Indonesia, which can be easily maintained by the local community.

Mimal, Arnhem Land

Together with IWSH, the Reece Foundation co-designed a water solution with Mimal Land Management to ensure it met the development needs of the community and supported the ambitions of their Healthy Country Plan, now, and into the future.

Siem Reap, Cambodia

In January 2025, the Reece Foundation teamed up with CCWTP, Rotary Australia, and Build Your Future Today to build 16 washroom toilets for families in Siem Reap. Across two villages, 16 families now have access to a private space to wash and toilet, providing a sense of safety and dignity and reducing the risk of water borne diseases.

Eugowra, NSW

In 2022, communities in Central West NSW were impacted by severe flooding events. In November 2023 with the region starting to prepare for a season of drought and extreme heat, six volunteer tradies came to the area to install new 22,000 litre rainwater tanks for 10 families. Due to the vast remote area, mains water is not an option for households who rely on water storage for drinking water.

Oolah, Western Australia

In June 2025, Bolo Angus met with the Reece Foundation on Country to share culture and the importance of clean water and sanitation to the Bardi-Jawi People.

The project began and was built on partnership. Traditional Owners Bolo and Rosanna Angus worked closely with the Reece Foundation and industry specialists to ensure the solution was fit for purpose and sustainable. Over two weeks in October 2025, eleven incredible trade volunteers brought the design to life. Working side by side with community members, they installed water treatment system and sanitation infrastructure.

Texas, USA

The Foundation was able to provide financial backing for Texans on Mission to support local communities by clearing debris, providing temporary shelter, and directly rebuilding homes for families who lost everything in the severe Texas Hill Country floods. This was the first grant activity undertaken in the US region, an important milestone and an opportunity to increase the Foundation’s impact further.
