Rebuilding After the Texas Floods

When devastating floods swept through the Texas Hill Country in July 2025, communities were left facing an overwhelming road to recovery. Lives were lost and homes were destroyed, leaving residents without access to basic water and sanitation.

When devastating floods swept through the Texas Hill Country in July 2025, communities were left facing an overwhelming road to recovery. Lives were lost and homes were destroyed, leaving residents without access to basic water and sanitation.

With Reece’s US head office based in Texas, we knew this was the right time to introduce the Reece Foundation grant to the US.

Working alongside Texans on Mission, a locally led charity with a strong track record in disaster recovery, the Reece Foundation provided a grant to support the rebuild of water and sanitation infrastructure in flood-affected homes.

Texans on Mission have been on the ground from the very beginning, supported by a dedicated volunteer network who have given their time and skills to help residents rebuild.

For resident Debbie Dossey, getting back home meant more than a roof over her head. "Being back home lets you finally breathe and also start processing everything that happened," she says.

About the Reece Foundation

In 2022, Reece Australia established the Reece Foundation with the belief that water is fundamental for quality of life, and that trades play a uniquely essential role in providing access to this precious resource. Through the grant program Reece Foundation provide grants to community organisations that support locally led ideas to provide access to clean water and sanitation. We know when natural disasters strike, water is among the first things lost and is often the hardest to restore.
