Since launching our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in 2019 Reece has committed to community engagement and ongoing learning.
Over the past few years, we’ve been building a relationship with the Torch and their artists. The Torch artists helped us create a beautiful mural outside our headquarters – The Works. This same mural art is also featured throughout the design of our Reconciliation Action Plan.
We were delighted to once again work with the Torch and artist Ash Thomas to create a new design for our RAP polo – inspired by Reece’s connection to water and Ash’s culture.
We recently caught up with Ash to hear more about the inspiration behind the design, the artistic processes he used and how he collaborated with Reece throughout the process.
If you’re interested in learning more about the Torch - an incredible not-for-profit focused on creating new pathways through art and culture for First Nations people who have been incarcerated - or supporting their amazing artists, head to their website.
