Reece cares
Reece Cares is our corporate and social responsibility approach that guides us in our mission to improve the lives of our people, our customers, and the communities where we operate.
Reece Cares about our people customers, community, and planet. We want our teams and customers to feel cared for, mentally and physically. We demonstrate this through our everyday interactions with one another but extend our reach and impact through our community partnerships.
We asked our teams and customers what causes matter most to them, and where Reece Cares can have the biggest impact. This informed our four focus areas: Mental Health, Clean water and sanitation, Diversity and Inclusion and Supporting young people to be their best
We’re the founding partner and ongoing supporter of the Reece Foundation – an independent charity that connects trade skills with communities in need. We believe all people have the right to clean water and sanitation and share the Foundation’s vision to make it happen.
The mental wellbeing of our teams and customers is important to us and that’s why we have partnered with Mates in Construction. Our branches are like a community hub for our customers, we get to know them well, and we want to support them. Our partnership with MATES will empower teams and customers across our branch network, in both Australia and New Zealand, to check in on each other and connect them to mental health support.
Our team members and customers can also access free counselling through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), anytime they need support, on 1800 808 374 (AU) or 0800 464 387 (NZ).
REACH connects with young people to inspire them to believe in themselves and get the most out of life. We’re proud to be supporting their Diverge program, targeted at year 9 & 10 students to deliver workshops that help young people plan for life after school. We also partner with REACH to support our school-based apprentices (AsbA) and graduate programs
Part of our Reconciliation commitment is to increase the involvement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in the success and growth of the industry and our business.
We are continuing our work with the Clontarf Foundation to support 50 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to attend Clontarf Academies and create employment pathways to grow their career at Reece.
