We are built on strong foundations.
In 1920, H.J. Reece started out by selling quality hardware supplies from the back of his truck in Victoria, Australia. Later that year, he opened the first Reece store in Caulfield, as the home of exceptional tools and expert advice.
Coincidentally, on the other side of the world, three Texans had a similar vision of supplying tradespeople with everything they needed to carry out essential work.
Solid foundations of reliable products and superior service shaped the blueprint for the Reece Group, which today spans Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

We took one small step.
Since joining Reece, the Wilson family name has become synonymous with our way of doing business.
In 1969, the same day that humans first stepped onto the moon, the Wilson family became majority shareholders. They committed to leading the Reece business to long-term success, with our customers and our people placed firmly at the centre of our business.
To date, three generations of the Wilson family have taken our business to new heights, including our current Group CEO, Peter Wilson.

We cross state lines.
Having won the hearts of Victoria’s plumbers, our team set out to bring our tools and advice to tradespeople across state lines.
In 1978, we opened our first store in Albury situated in our neighbouring state, New South Wales, expanding our horizons and our footprint.

We see bathrooms differently.
In 1983, we began displaying our products as complete bathroom displays, to give customers the opportunity to experience our range of luxurious bathroom products in their natural setting.
Today, you can find our products in every great Australian, New Zealand and American bathroom, thanks to our network of inspirational showrooms.

We use technology to leap forward.
The Reece System, our one-stop shop for data that allows our people to deliver on our customer promise, was introduced in 1990. Known as TRS, this system has continued to evolve and remains the backbone of our business.
Today, it is complemented by a suite of digital tools and platforms that make our customers' lives easier. One of our newest tech innovations is maX app, which lets trade customers order and track goods wherever they are.

We expand our expertise so we can deliver more.
We knew that mechanical services, gas and irrigation trades needed high-quality tools and piping, just as much as plumbers.
In 1991, we expanded our product range to give our customers everything they needed in one place.
Later, in 1998, we opened our first irrigation and pools branch. Shortly after, in 2005, we launched our refrigeration business, ensuring our customers can access the specialist tools, products and advice they need to get the job done.

We never stop learning and teaching.
Innovating to support our people and our customers is at the heart of our customer promise. In 1993, we opened our first training centre. This centre of excellence helps our people improve their skills at every experience level.

We build for the future with our customers in mind.
Our passion for connecting with our customers online began at the turn of the century, when we launched our first website. Reecetech, our world class digital product division, keeps technology at the forefront of how we do business, ensuring we are continually innovating to deliver an excellent experience for our customers through our digital channels and services.

We are committed to our communities.
We love to give back. In 2016, we founded the Reece Grant – a funding program that has helped communities across the globe with access to clean water, sanitation, essential maintenance and education.
Each year, the Grant had more applications and interest from tradies wanting to give back. It soon became clear the Reece Grant needed to evolve into something bigger. In 2022, we launched The Reece Foundation, an independent charity that connects tradies with opportunities to bring clean water and sanitation to those who need it most.

We are where our customers need us to be.
As we approached our 100 year anniversary, we set our sights on new frontiers where tradespeople would benefit from our century of innovation.
In 2018, we found the perfect business for expanding into the United States and acquired MORSCO, the Sun-Belt’s leading distributor of plumbing, waterworks, heating, cooling and ventilation products.
After three years of learning and growing together, Reece and MORSCO made the decision to retire the MORSCO brand and launch Reece USA, a symbolic step forward in our shared pursuit to be the most valued partner of our customers.
